Man, when was the last time I drew a decent digital drawing of Tweeg? If you don't know him, he's kind of a wannabe villain from the Teddy Ruxpin stories/tapes/cartoon. Of all the characters in the series, I gotta say that Tweeg and LB are probably the most interesting of them all. They pretty much stand out among the entire cast, especially in terms of character development and Tweeg's color scheme. In fact, his robe's in my favorite color, purple! (one of them at least)
I wanted to do a different way of coloring. I basically started out black and white shading, colored with warm colors and cool colors and just layered all the rest of the colors on top of each other. The brush I used was labelled acrylic, but the result, because I used transparent colors, loos more like watercolor. Also, lazy background is lazy. I could've done a whole scene in the style of the story books, but I just wanted to draw a character instead. At least I didn't use a gradient background like in my first picture, which sadly (and thankfully) is lost in cyberspace.
Unrelated note: If I had to choose which of his voices I liked the best, it would have to be the cassette version. His voice in the cartoon is cute too, but I just love his frog-in-his-throat-like voice and funny accent in the tapes.
